Bro. Russell Threet has served as Senior Pastor of West Park Baptist Church since 2022. His ministry centers on expository preaching, biblical counseling, and the ongoing work of forming a church family that thinks and lives according to Scripture. He has pastored churches in Arkansas and Virginia and remains committed to shepherding with clarity, conviction, and pastoral presence.

He teaches biblical counseling at Forge Theological Seminary and serves as an adjunct instructor for Nations University and Cornerstone College and Seminary. His writing ministry includes booklets on Christian discipleship, counseling, worship, and Christian character, along with contributions to the Baptist Publishing House, where he also serves as a staff editor.

Bro. Russell is certified with the International Association of Biblical Counselors, the Fellowship of Biblical Counselors, the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors, and The Addiction Connection. He directs the West Park Biblical Counseling and Training Center and trains men and women to counsel with Scripture as the sufficient and authoritative guide for life and godliness.

He is completing a Doctor of Philosophy in World Religion at Baptist College of America. His previous studies include a Doctor of Practical Theology, a Master of Divinity, a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management.

Bro. Russell and his wife, Sarah, have three sons. The family resides in Ozark, Arkansas. Sarah serves as the children’s Sunday School teacher for the younger class at West Park Baptist Church.
